Come join Community Nature Connection and Vianey Moreno of Amigis Afuera to learn more and celebrate the local bats communities along with a walk down the LA to see bats as they forage for food. No prior experience needed just your curiosity and an open mind!


Vianey is an indigenous Zapotec womxn from Oaxaca and has a deep love for environmental education and conservation.  As a youth growing up in Pacoima with migrant parents, she often found herself admiring wildlife in documentaries and on television. As a youth who benefited from youth programming in her community, she had a chance to go camping for the first time and developed a deep love for urban wildlife and outdoor exploration. For the last 10 years, Vianey has dedicated herself to working alongside communities of color in environmental education and justice. Vianey has launched Amigis Afuera, where she will host outdoor gatherings for BIPOC…
