About the Event

Friends and family from the Akuutet Learning Nursery Internship are welcome to join us on a beach trip as we visit Will Rogers State Beach for the day!

Program Schedule

8:30 Opening Cirlce

9:00 Depart Wollam St for Will Rogers State Beach

10:00 Arrive at Will Rogers State Beach

10:15 Site Introduction and Safety

10:30 Beach Enjoyment

3:00 Closing Circle

3:30 Depart Will Rogers State Beach for Elyria Canyon

5:00 Arrive at Wollam St. and Program Ends

Meet up location: Elyria Canyon Park Lot on 1701 Wollam St at 8:30am 

Weather:

We expect Will Rogers State Beach to be cloudy with high of 70° and low temperatures at 60° as the day gets cooler (subject to change), so please layer up with thin layers that can easily be added or removed (think of layers like an onion)!!

What to Bring:

A face mask to use during our bus ride

Lunch

Water

Sun Protection (hat, sunblock, sunglasses)

Backpack to carry your belongings

A blanket/towel to sit on

A change of clothes

Curiosity for the ocean

Important Reminders

  • When registering for this event, Transit to Trails programming is FREE, so please remember to use the coupon code: SUMMER2023 that was provided to register for our trip!
  • We will be together from 8:30am-5:00pm (approximately 9 hours)
  • Your clothes and shoes may get wet and sandy
  • Bring proper layers for weather that can range from; sunny and warm to protect you from UV sun rays; to cloudy and chilly to keep you nice and warm
  • CNC recommends entering the water only up to your ankles; to be safe and comfortable for the rest of the day
  • CNC is not responsible if you choose to submerge yourself in the water. It is up to your own discretion and comfort
  • There will be a lifeguard on duty in case of an emergency
