Have you ever wanted to plan a backpacking trip but feel a little intimidated? Join Amalia Nahumi to learn backpacking basics and tips for planning your next or very first trip!
Amalia Nahumi lives in Redondo Beach with her husband (Nadav) and 6 month old baby (Liliana). She is originally from the Dominican Republic, and moved to Colorado Springs, CO at 11 years old. She started off in an English Language Development class in seventh grade, and with the help of an amazing ELD teacher was able to transition to the regular English courses the following year.
Amalia went on to study Chemical engineering at University of Colorado at Boulder and became the first college graduate and first engineer in her family. She worked in the Oil & Gas Industry for several years, eventually moving to Los Angeles. In 2019, during some time off from work, she visited family, traveled…
